Get involved...

Eaters

Ask for local food at the grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes that you frequent. Talk to the owners and staff at those places about how important locally grown, fished, and processed food choices are to you.

Fishers, Farmers, Processors

Connect with your local School District Administrators to discuss the importance of creating the new universal school meal program based on local food. Find out how the school districts in your area are organising the food meal program in their schools and ask how you can support the development process.

Build stronger relationships with other local fishers, farmers, and processors in your area. Consider how those relationships can become more reciprocal, more shared support and coordination. Find out about the local food hub services in your area and consider how those services could help you in your work and how they  might be expanded to address gaps in the local food system.
