what is closing the supply gap?

Closing the Supply Gap is a collaborative initiative among local food businesses and local food hubs to create a strong local food supply chain in the British Columbia Capital Region. It focuses on strengthening the regional food system by addressing gaps in local food infrastructure, investment, and processing and distribution networks. It is committed to food system change based on the leadership and local experience of:

  • Farmers and fishers

  • Chefs

  • Grocers

  • Food Distributors

  • Small to medium scale food processors

  • Locally owned and managed Food Hubs
